Redearth Education is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales No. 1119615.

Redearth Education was founded in Masindi, western Uganda in 2006 by a group of UK education professional, all with extensive experience in training teachers and providing support for professional development.

Two of our Directors have been living permanently in Masindi since 2012, working closely with local District Education Departments and key stakeholders in local communities.

Redearth Education is very fortunate to have a dedicated and passionate board of Trustees and team of volunteers, made up of people who share the same love for the country, people and children of Uganda and other African countries.

Lynne currently resides permantly in Masindi to oversee the running of Redearth Education on an entirely voluntary basis. As a former Headteacher, Lynne has 38 years of experience in education, both in teaching and leadership roles. She also has 15 years experience in working with African schools.

Ronnie Katzler

Former Advisory Teacher

to the Deaf

Ronnie also resides permantly in Masindi as Redearth Director on an entirely voluntary basis. Ronnie previously was worked as an Advisory Teacher to the Deaf for Harrow Council. During this time, Ronnie advised schools on implementing deaf awareness, and teaching and learning strategies. Ronnie has been working with African schools for over 15 years.

Di is a former infant school Headteacher with 36 years of experience in education, in both teaching and leadership roles. She has over 10 years of experience working within an African education context. Di retired from Head teaching and visits Uganda for months at a time each year, using her vast experience in nursery and early years to set up and oversee the Redearth Nursery Centre.
